Ella May ~ My Little Vintage Caravan

Today I wanted to introduce you to Ella May, a little vintage caravan. I met her at The Vintage Wedding Fair and what a cutie she is! Decked out in the prettiest florals, crochet blankets and whimsical British flag cushions she is a delight to behold. She is available to hire for weddings, photo shoots and vintage tea parties, has seating and space for afternoon tea for up to nine people. Oh, and her cupboards are full of retro games, magazines and toys for you to discover!

Pretty ribbon dolls

Basket of organized ribbons
Ribbon spool dollies

Ribbon wrapped dolly pegs

Over the past few weeks I have been sharing with you all the organization I have been doing in my craft room. So far I've placed my favourite white and cream ribbons in a pretty duck egg blue ribbon box, and wrapped my aqua, peach and favourite pink ribbons around wooden spools. I needed an inexpensive idea for the rest of my ribbons so after buying several bundles of wooden dolly pegs and a tin of map pins I got going... and haven't stopped yet!

Button Art

Button Art

Buttons

After organizing all my buttons into colour groups I took a break to make something crafty.

I first saw button art on Mod Podge Rocks and loved it! Coupled with the fact that the glass on the picture frame I had been saving for something else had cracked, I got on and made my very own button art. I removed the broken glass and cut a stiff piece of white card to size and secured it into the frame. After laying out all the buttons I wanted to use, I moved them around the white card until I was happy with the balance of colour and size. I then attached them to the card using double sided sticky tape. Voila! a cheap and easy to make piece of art for my newly organized craft room.

When I saw this cute "I love sewing" spool holder on The Makery Emporium, I fell in love. A great way to organize my sewing threads and a pretty piece of art for my craft room wall...

Organizing my embroidery threads

Last week I showed you how I have been organizing my craft room. Well, since then I have been wrapping my embroidery threads around mini wooden spools and love how they look. I have just ordered some more mini wooden spools from Rapid, they come in a pack of 60 for under £12! That way I can get all my embroidery threads organized! Then I can completely fill my apothecary glass jar with them ...

My washi tape storage

Washi tape storage

For my ever expanding washi tape collection, I have placed them in stacked acrylic drawers from Muji, mainly because it makes it easy to find the colour and pattern I am looking for...

A few weeks back I showed you the gorgeous new treasures from one of my favourite Danish interior brands, Lisbeth Dahl, so of course I made a bee-line for them at Top Drawer!

The plush velvet cushions were beautifully beaded, the shimmery satin cushions delightfully embroidered and the pretty patterned cushions delicately pleated. The array of embellished photo frames looked wonderful clustered together on book shelves and the patterned and etched glass jars looked yummy filled with candy.

Retreat Home

Retreat Home

Today on label love I wanted to show you a new label, Retreat Home, who I discovered at Top Drawer the other week. Their stand was one of my favourites, with its fake grass carpet adorned with a vintage bicycle, a metal bench piled high with the prettiest cushions, and vintage suitcases spilling with delightfully embellished cosmetic bags. To top it off, a pretty duck egg blue caravan called 'Whimsy'. It made my heart flutter, I just had to take a closer look. Oh, and the inside of Whimsy did not disappoint! She was filled with cute applique cushions, peg bags and aprons, and galvanised planters.

To see more gorgeous, inspiring shots check out their Spring 2012 Catalogue. You can also buy everything you see at their online store, Retreat Home.

Here's how the gorgeous collection looked at the Top Drawer Spring/Summer 2012 interior show:
