  4. Oh my goodness! I absolutely LOVE this! It's so simple and it's gorgeous. I have been wishing for a cake stand for myself, but this would be a fantastic gift too - and I love how you can totally personalize it to fit the "giftee". Very clever. Thanks for a great idea!

  7. I think they are beautiful but what keeps them from falling over once the cake is placed on it.

    1. I thought the same exact thing myself. That skinny base doesn't look very stable.

  10. Will it stand up? Will the glue hold it strong enough? You must let us know how it went once the cake was actually on top!!

  11. They are very pretty, love the colors...but when a couple slices are taken out of cake...would it not tip??? Even with the whole cake does not seem to have wide enough base....but I love your idea.

    1. Mine did not tip or fall over but I only placed mini Gingerbread houses on mine as part of my Winter Wonderland dessert table. You could use shorter candle stick holders or add another board to the base to make it studier.

    2. I'M THINKING I WOULD PUT A WIDER ONE AND MAKE IT LIKE A LADY SUSAN, YOU CAN PUT CUPCAKES ON THE BOTTOM ONE OR DECORATE WITH PETALS OR ANYTHING ELSE. YOU CAN EVEN USE A CAKE PLATE WITH A DOME, FOR HOME USE. THE HIGH JUST MAKES IT LOOK ELEGANT AND GLASS IS BREAKABLE SO I THINK YOUR IDEA IS GREAT! ALSO OPEN FOR MANY VARIATIONS, THANK YOU!
